All the artwork shown in this gallery is by Martin Aitchison. Every piece shown here is an original - there are no 'prints' - and was created for Ladybird between 1963 and 1987 in the production of the much-loved books that so many of us grew up with.
All artwork is unframed and painted on artist's board. Materials vary, but mainly gouache/water-colour. All the pictures are larger than their reproduction in the Ladybird Book - approximate size is stated.
